Exercise/movement therapy can help you regain health, fitness, and motivation. This will occur as you discover new, more efficient and intelligent ways to use your body.

Therapy can be defined as a particular approach used to achieve a particular goal. Psychotherapy uses talk as its means to explore your understanding of how you interact with the world and your past. Exercise/movement therapy uses exercise and movement to reveal how previously unconscious movement habits are currently limiting your movement freedom. By bringing your attention to the “mind” aspect of exercise, rather than focusing solely on body building, you will find the sessions interesting, productive, and even down-right enjoyable.

I specialize in working with men and women over 50, both one-on-one as well as in group settings.

You may find my approach helpful if:

  1. You know you need to exercise, but are unmotivated, or unsure how to begin.
  2. You don’t like to work out in gyms.
  3. It’s been years since you last attempted to exercise, and now you are afraid you might get hurt.
  4. You would benefit from support and guidance as you rebuild your strength and flexibility following an accident, surgery or illness.
  5. You need help in developing an exercise routine customized to your individual needs, one you could then follow on your own.
